It began on September 21, 2006, when a group of schoolchildren, from Latonia Elementary school in
Kentucky, made a special book for the family of a fallen hero. The binder was filled with artwork and letters
that they had made in honor of fallen Marine CPL Tyler Warndorf, 21, of Kentucky. .
It
was on this day that this special book began its journey.
In
the Spring of 2009, the book showed up on an elderly man’s front porch in Kentucky. He knew that
the family of the fallen Marine would treasure what he held in his hands, but he wasn’t able to find them.
So, he gave the book to a neighbor.
This
neighbor gave the book to one of our mothers, Penny Moody, and asked for her help in locating the family.
Penny worked hard and made it her mission to locate CPL Warndorf’s
mother. After finding her and talking with her, she made arrangements to deliver this special book to his
family.
On Mother’s Day in 2009, Penny
was escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders on her 66 mile trip from Kettering, Ohio, to Kentucky where she presented CPL Warndorf’s
mother with her book. It was an emotional moment when the book was handed over to his mother.
The book has now finished its journey.
Let us never forget that –
All Give Some
Some
Give All.
God bless this family and all of
the families of our fallen Heroes.
